The Manhattan School of Music celebrates the 30th anniversary of its increasingly vibrant Jazz Arts program, fielding a series of combos throughout the weekend at Dizzy's. On Apr 4 you'll hear the school's Manhattan Society Orchestra and Mingus Ensemble. The Chamber Jazz Ensemble holds the stage on Apr 5, playing Oliver Nelson's timeless The Blues and the Abstract Truth. Jump up with the MSM Swing Band on Apr 6, and chill out with a Miles Davis–oriented show by the MSM Jazz Orchestra with guest soloist Dave Liebman on Apr 7.
