Canadian folk-rock titan Neil Young has a knack for locating weirdness in even the most well-trod territory, a skill he put to smart use on 2012's Americana, a set of reworked folk tunes featuring his most rugged and reliable backing band, Crazy Horse. (The band tackled sprawling original jams on a follow-up LP, Psychedelic Pill.) Here, Young & Co. follow up last year's triumphant MSG and Barclays Center appearances with a Westchester one-off, retaining the unbeatable opening act: justly beloved punk poet Patti Smith and her ace backing band.
