Two of the biggest names in downtown improv for as long as we can remember, harpist-keyboardist Zeena Parkins and notebook-computer poet Ikue Mori have been making beautiful, mysterious music together as Phantom Orchard since 2004, with three memorable albums to show for it. The newest, Trouble in Paradise, features an expanded ensemble called Phantom Orchard Orchestra, but Parkins and Mori are a complete ensemble unto themselves. Spunky avant-jazz-rock trio Pet Bottle Ningen sets the stage.
