No longer designated a youth ensemble, the flagship orchestra of Venezuela's revolutionary educational initiative El Sistema comes to Carnegie Hall as part of the Voices from Latin America festival. Conducted by the exuberant Gustavo Dudamel (the world's most notable Sistema graduate), the orchestra plays works by Carlos Chávez, Julián Orbón and Silvestre Revueltas on Mon 10, and by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Antonio Estévez on Tue 11.
