There's almost nothing Stanley Clarke hasn't played over the course of his four-decade career: He's proficient in mainstream jazz, of course, but also has taken on chamber-scaled projects of genuine delicacy and electric fusion of arena-rock proportions. This show should feature some cuts from the veteran bassist's funky latest effort, 2014's Up, which skews toward the latter while plumbing a range of genre impulses. This set of shows features a few special guests including trailblazing pianist McCoy Tyner (November 14, 15), who joins his Stanley Clarke Band, as well as Lenny White and George Cables, who show up for a trio performance (November 11).
