This adventurous improvisatory vocalist's résumé includes limber musical calisthenics with Meredith Monk, weightless improv with progressive jazzers and his own innovative Weimar-cabaret mash-ups of Weill, Eisler and Kraftwerk. Here Bleckmann takes on yet another stunningly ambitious project, transforming the venue into a literal ice skating rink to perform Schubert’s song cycle “Die Winterreise” as reimagined by himself, pianist Uri Caine and ice skaters from the Ice Theatre of New York.
