New Year's Eve at Webster Hall

A great-sounding alternative for bands (and fans) who’ve had their fill of the comparably sized Irving Plaza. Expect to find high-caliber indie acts (Animal Collective, Ty Segall, Foxygen), as well as hip-hop (Wiz Khalifa, Mobb Deep) but be sure to show up early if you want a decent view.

Webster Hall has a very long history as a gathering place for over a hundred years.  Large open ballroom is where I have seen most concerts, and they do host a great variety of acts.  Have seen bands including Ghost, The Ting Tings, and Nevermore.  They also have a smaller venue downstairs, that hosts probably 200 people.  Very intimate evening at this location.  They also have a bar attached to the venue.

Awkward set up and the crowd felt fratty (not my thing).  I saw a show on their main stage and it was set up in such a way that only 10% of the people could actually see.  There was a lot of columns and equipment in the way.  I wouldn't want to go back here.

If you are the type that feeds off the crowd , well webster is the place to be. Webster hall has come to be a second family to me , from watching the miami championship game at the bar with the dj hype man too jumping in v.i.p making out with the hottest girl . Webster hall makes you the party person you never were , I must admit its one amazing feeling ! Webster hall is better than any over hype clubs out there period.
