The leaves are falling, the Jets are losing and the marathoners are marathoning: Fall is here, and it's time for Smorgasburg to head indoors until the spring.

Starting this Saturday, Nov 2, Smorgasburg will join with the Brooklyn Flea to take over an unfinished space in 25 Kent, a new development in Williamsburg close to the Wythe Hotel. Think of it as a neo-souk with a million-dollar view of the Manhattan skyline.

More than 15 food vendors will set up shop, including Destination Dumplings and Dough Donuts (this was brought to you by the letter D), which will make this a prime choice for families looking to get out of the house during the cooler months. Having a snacky afternoon is absolutely one of the best fall activities for kids in NYC, and one of the best things for kids to do in NYC to do this weekend.

Other standout vendors include Blue Chicken for fried sammies and gooey mac-and-cheese, C Bao for steamed buns and the oh-so-Instgramable The Pizza Cupcake which is just what it says: cupcake-sized pizzas, anyone?

Understandably, the kids will head straight for the sweets, including Bona Bona Ice Cream, upgraded profiteroles from DOMI (which are. as they put it, Asian-inspired flavors made by two Michelin chefs) and the flaky, custardy Portuguese tarts from Leitao

Smorgasburg will be open every weekend through March 2020 from 10am–6pm. As for where to take the kids to eat during the rest of the week, we suggest going to one of the 50 best family restaurants in NYC. After all, you and your crew live in one of the greatest food cities in the world.
