New York Islanders announce move to Brooklyn's Barclays Center

Brooklyn hockey fans will be able to cheer on their local NHL team starting in 2015.

First the Nets, now the Islanders. Is Brooklyn trying to collect the whole set? If so, we're crossing our fingers for the Red Bulls next. It was announced today that the New York Islanders are leaving the island (Long Island, to be exact) and will relocate to the shiny new Barclays Center starting with the 2015–16 season. The 25-year agreement is still subject to NHL approval, but with a labor dispute delaying the current season, we're thinking the National Hockey League will be glad to have something positive to tell sports fans (and their hockey-following dogs).
