The Times They Are A-Changin'

I went to see Twyla Tharp's The Times They Are A-Changin' for a second time because, well, I am committed to Twyla Tharp, and while flawed, it's just not the most awful show I've ever seen (more Ron Todorowski wouldn't have hurt). The show will close this Sunday; it didn't seem as if the audience cared that the reviews were so hostile (some stood, some cried—and they weren't all relatives of the dancers). At the conclusion of the performance, two of its stars, Michael Arden (Coyote) and Thom Sesma (Captain Ahrab), made a plea for donations to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. "Michael!" Sesma exclaimed, laughing. "We're a hit!"
