They're alive!

The Whitney just announced the organizers for the 2008 Biennial, the museum's ever-much-anticipated survey of contemporary American art. The show will be organized by resident curator Shamim M. Momin and cocurator Henriette Huldisch (both of whom have helped coordinate previous biennials), along with a curatorial team overseen by the Whitney's chief curator, Donna De Salvo; Studio Museum in Harlem director Thelma Golden; and Bill Horrigan, Ohio's Wexner Center for the Arts' media-arts director. The names in this year's star-studded lineup require no background checks. Unlike the museum's 2006 organizers (remember Toni Burlap, that enigmatic, last-minute addition to the show's roster?), all of next year's directors are real, I assure you.
