Your 1 Thing for today: Monday, Feb 12

Talk to the bear. Leave a message at the balloon.

Wow, this is more than a little awkward. I mean, I figured we'd run into each other but I didn't think it'd be this soon and I certainly didn't think it'd be here. If I didn't know better I might think you planned this. It would be very like you: sneaky. My friends always said you were sneaky; also they said your hair is too round and your voice is weird, but I never noticed. What are you yelling about? What am I doing here? Oh, nice try turning it around on me. You are unbelievable, you know that? Well, of course it makes sense that you'd be in your own kitchen but I—look I can't argue with you right now. Yes, okay, I see that you're in a rush but I—no, I called in sick. Yet again I don't think you're listening to me. Since when do you take your coffee like that? Okay, look, I can see that you're having trouble letting go, so I'm just going to have to insist that you give me more space.

For that reason I'm going to be going alone tonight to the temporary outpost Altoids Curious and Original Chocolate Shoppe at 350 Bleecker Street at 10th Street. It's open from noon to 10pm until the 14th, and then it goes away. Like your love. Also, tomorrow night it's hosting a DIY Valentine's Crafts activity night, and on V-Day itself there will be a reading by Jonathan Ames, Leo Allen and Starlee Kine.
