Styled after an old New York tavern, this 70-seat restaurant in the Jade Hotel showcases dark wood floors, antique glass mirrors and a fireplace. The menu offers French and New American plates, like red and yellow beet tartare with goat cheese, saffron bouillabaisse, and grilled tofu with spicy red quinoa and mango. For health nuts, there are fashionable juiced drinks like a mixture of carrot, red apple, ginger and lemon. Those in need of something stiffer can opt for one of the 20 cocktails, like a bubbly concoction of Grand Marnier, grapefruit juice, rose water and champagne.

I went here for restaurant week with my friends, and it was just another dinner that can disappear into the past, because my brain has no room for remembering mediocrity. The menu looked pretty good, although looking back, I wonder why I trusted a menu that seemed to be both Mediterranean AND American Southern. My friend had read on yelp that the service wasn't very good, which was pretty called for. Our server was pleasant, but he would disappear for long periods of time, leaving us waiting for him (and there were't a lot of tables!). Same goes for other staff. When I got up to go to the bathroom, a frustrated customer asked me if I was the hostess, because she'd been waiting at the front of the restaurant for a long time. Don't bother going here! Your money is better spent elsewhere.
