If your idea of doing reps involves lifting a High Life can to your lips, this is the date for you. Start at Full Circle Bar (318 Grand St between Havemeyer St and Marcy Ave, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; 718-388-7577), a brand-new watering hole dedicated to the hybrid sport of Brewskee-Ball (drinking and rolling). It has Miller Light, Guinness and Stella on tap, but it's the variety of 15 different cans ($3--$6) that'll really put you in the mood. Afterward, feast on succulent Berkshire Belly ($16 per pound), and race to see who can chug their jar of Chelsea Gotham Stout ($36 per gallon) first at Fette Sau (354 Metropolitan Ave between Havemeyer and Roebling Sts; 718-963-3404, fettesaubbq.com), one of the city's most vegetarian-unfriendly establishments.
Golf and chicken wings
Who's ready for a little fore!-play? It might be too cold to hit up sweet golf courses like Bethpage Black, but you and your date can still whack some balls at Chelsea Piers' heated driving range (Pier 59, 23rd St at the Hudson River, 212-336-6400, chelseapiers.com; 6:30am--11pm, $25--$100). Inside the giant complex, up to four people (double date?) can rent a golf simulator for $45 and engage in a little heavy putting. Afterward, head to the nearby Chelsea Brewing Company (59 Chelsea Piers at the Hudson River; 212-336-6440, chelseabrewingco.com) for some smoked chipotle, garlic Parm or XXX-hot wings (basket $9.99). Choose from among 35 beers—including Checker Cab Blond Ale and Sunset Red Ale—with which to get your date wasted, and sneak glances at the score on one of the many flat-screen televisions lining the bar as she talks about her nails or her job or whatever.
Ice skating and seafood
Tourists and Al Roker may go to Rockefeller Center or Bryant Park, but you know where the newest New York ice-skating experience is to be had—the City Ice Pavilion (47-32 32nd Pl between 47th and 48th Aves, Long Island City, Queens; 718-505-6230, cityicepavilion.com; $5--$8, skate rental $6), NYC's only rooftop rink. After making other skaters hate on your hand-holding, head to the Waterfront Crab House (2-03 Borden Ave at 2nd St, Long Island City, Queens; 718-729-4862, wfcrabhouse.com) for clam chowder (bowl $3.50) and "The Loveboat," a $29.95 lobster stuffed with crabmeat and covered with shrimp scampi. Sounds good enough for either Brian Boitano or that chromeo Captain Stubing.
