With this and the nearby Oculus, there is a lot more to do now in downtown Manhattan aside from visiting the World Trade Center.
It is beautifully designed from the bottom to the top and the glass overlooking the Hudson River is stunning. Le District is awesome if you're a francophile as it is a one-stop shop for all things French. The food court called Hudson Eats on the second level is diverse though much of the space is high end so eating and shopping here isn't cheap. The promenade and outdoor seating is great if you want to chill and relax especially when the weather is nice.
The palm trees are cool choice for greenery but it does work and they have events here from concerts to movies if you wanted to do something fun in the area.
Happy exploring and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!
Great shopping complex downtown that connects entire World Financial Center with a similar clean, aesthetic display. Bright and well-kept, has high-end boutiques as well as groceries - including Le District, and Eataly across the street. Nice promenade outside along the waterfront - good location with movie theatre and hotel nearby.
Brookfield place is a lovely place to check out, especially around the holidays! It is very festive with Santa available for pictures. There is also an ice rink. There are always cool public art displays here. There are high-end stores to shop in and a nice food court with popular eateries. I recently attended a silent disco here.
Brookfield Place in lower Manhattan is an office complex, which has luxury shopping, dining, ice-skating and special events alongside the Hudson River. You can find many high-end designers such as Gucci, Burberry, Hermes and Salvatore Ferragamo all under one roof at the amazing Brookfield Place. If that wasn’t enough, there are also several dining options too, P.J.Clarkes, Parm, Umami Burger, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar and much, much more. It’s not just about eating and shopping and Brookfield Place though, you can also attend events and see art installations and exhibits. Hang with Santa during Christmas time or check out the holiday luminaries.
