All for knots

This spring, you can trade in your wool muffler for a new riff on the scarf from Williamsburg-based jewelry line Crumley. The goods are the brainchild of accessories designer (and former TONY staffer) Brian Crumley, who has collaborated with insidery clothing labels such as Indigo People and Rachel Comey. One of Gen Art’s featured 2005 Fresh Faces breakout designers, Crumley fashions the bold, unisex necklaces ($150--$300) from knotted vintage fabrics interlaced with plated steel. The patterned silks and cottons take on a sculptural scarflike form—making them perfect garnishes for your warm-weather wardrobe. Available at Barneys New York, 660 Madison Ave at 61st St (212-826-8900), and Opening Ceremony, 35 Howard St between Broadway and Lafayette St (212-219-2688).—Marissa Patlingrao Cooley
