Lazy about laundry? Not a problem, thanks to FlyCleaners. The Brooklyn-based app expanded its on-demand laundry service to the 10003 zip code in lower Manhattan last week. After downloading the app, you enter a few preferences (fabric softener, etc.) and order a pickup. Within a few minutes, a FlyCleaners rep picks up your laundry as well as clothes in need of dry cleaning. We tested the service on a Monday afternoon and our delivery guy showed up within 15 minutes.

Once they’ve scrubbed the smell of a weekend on the town in NYC out of your clothes, you get a push notification and schedule a return. (Dry cleaning can take up to 48 hours, but a regular wash-and-dry is ready within 24 hours. The company also recently added an overnight option, so if you schedule a pickup for before 11pm, it'll be delivered to you the next morning.) Five pounds of laundry costs just $5, and the fee for dry cleaning is $4 per shirt and $10 for a dress. Overall, it’s a hassle-free experience that doesn’t take a hit on your wallet (no delivery fees here). The company plans to expand this year, so all Manhattanites can be lazy laundry people together.
