Time Out says

You won’t find grimy work stations or tattoo-design books featuring tribal-band graphics at this inking spot; instead, this spacious Soho salon is totally classy with a vintage-industrial aesthetic. Its modern color scheme—gray walls, black rectangular light fixtures—is balanced by antique furnishings, including 1950s barber chairs, a repurposed-wood counter, black rolling toolboxes that hold supplies, leather couches and antique fixtures salvaged from the historic Flatiron Building. The warm parlor doubles as the set for TLC’s NY Ink, a reality-show spin-off of Miami Ink and LA Ink, so booking an appointment might be your chance at 15 minutes of fame. Tattoo artist Ami James runs the space and works alongside 30 rotating staffers who can whip up any kind of piece you want (minimum of $200) at one of the 12 stations.
