School's in session, boozehounds: Manhattan Cocktail Classic tickets go on sale this Friday

Brainy tipplers, mark your calendars and get out your wallets: Tickets for the Manhattan Cocktail Classic go on sale this Friday. The annual conference of booze-soaked seminars, tastings and parties will go down May 13--17 this year. Mixology luminaries like Dale Degroff, David Wondrich and Tony Abou-Ganim will teach 30 classes (all selected by a popular vote) on topics ranging from glass and barware basics to the science of whiskey cocktails. Don't miss the annual Friday night gala—in 2009 we called the affair one of the best we've ever attended.
