The Feed openings: BLT Bar & Grill, Gazala and more

The following restaurants and food trucks are expected to debut by August 4. Always call ahead as openings can be delayed.

BLT Bar & Grill While chef Laurent Tourondel is no longer involved in most of the BLT restaurants he helped found, the empire continues to grow. This addition to the group—housed in the soon-to-open W New York--Downtown Hotel & Residences—serves creative comfort food like roasted chicken with cabernet honey. 123 Washington St at Albany St (646-826-8666)

Gazala Chef-owner Gazala Halabi (Gazala Place) opens her second venture dedicated to the cuisine of the Israeli Druze (a religious group with ties to early Islam). Her menu includes various kinds of hummus, along with smaller bites at a meze bar. 380 Columbus Ave at 78th St (646-370-1725)

UPDATE: Gazala's opening has been delayed until August 9.

Kelvin Natural Slush Co. Slushes are the specialty of this new food truck. Flavors include citrus and ginger, with mix-ins like fresh herbs. Call 646-200-5083 or check the truck's Twitter feed (@kelvinslush) for daily locations.

Tin City Drug & General Store Bed-Stuy's new cosmetics and household-goods shop is also home to a three-seat soda fountain serving ice cream sodas, floats and shakes made with Van Leeuwen Artisan ice cream. 366 Lewis Ave between Halsey and Macon Sts, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn (718-443-4141)

WickedSpoon Yogurt To set itself apart from the fro-yo pack, this Park Slope spot offers more than 40 toppings for its frozen treats, including malt balls and even chocolate-covered crickets. 321 9th St between Fifth and Sixth Aves, Park Slope, Brooklyn (347-987-4810)
