The 11th edition of TNC's diverse fest, curated by literary manager Michael Scott-Price, features 23 works, all of which are world or U.S. premieres. One highlight is the Scottish visual-dance company Oceanallover's Splitting My Sides (Sept 14–18), a collection of reptile-themed ecdysiast vignettes created with couturier Mr Pearl, drag icon Joey Arias, singer Breezy Lee and choreographers Alex Rigg and Laura Victoria Ward. Also on the roster are Stephan Morrow's timely war drama Darkness after Night—Ukraine, Tommy LeVrier's At Least He Didn't Die with Antlers on His Head!, Prasad Paul Duffy's abstract-expressionist bioplay Strokes of Genius and two new riffs on old Greek myths: Duncan Pflaster's Nothing But Thunder and Lilian Boyd's The Minotaur.
