David Duchovny, in a ho-hum stage debut, stars as a man who has a spiritual epiphany after surviving an office shooting in Neil LaBute's latest drama, which looks at how faith can be wielded as a weapon. The heat never rises past simmer, however, until our protagonist’s alarming closing monologue. The enchanting Tracee Chimo and Amanda Peet drive the production in supporting roles as LaBute’s engine runs on fumes.—Diane Snyder
