CBGB trailer: Watch Alan Rickman as Hilly Kristal (video)

Randall Miller's punk biopic will explore the history of the legendary downtown venue and its real-life owner, Hilly Kristal.

Go back to the '70s and New York City's punk-rock heyday with CBGB, the upcoming flick that depicts the titular club's opening and rise. Director Randall Miller wrote the biopic thinking of Alan Rickman, who plays club owner Hilly Kristal in all of his curly-headed glory. Musicians and bands like the Talking Heads, Blondie, the Police and plenty more CBGB stalwarts will be portrayed by Rupert Grint, Malin Akerman, Ryan Hurst and more.

CBGB is out on October 11; get ready by playing some classic cuts from Television, Iggy Pop and the New York Dolls, who will be on the movie's soundtrack.
