Changes ahead at MoMA: Extended hours, a new Free Friday Nights sponsor
We've got details on the new Free Friday Nights sponsor and extended hours for the modern-art museum.

Today, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) announced that Japan-based clothing retailer Uniqlo will take over as the corporate sponsor—or, as we like to think of it, the cultural sugar daddy—of its Free Friday Nights program, as former sponsor Target shifts its efforts to the museum's school and teacher programs. As in past years, the partnership results in the public getting gratis admission on Friday evenings from 4 until 8pm. If you're a big fan of the brand, make sure to stop by on kickoff night (May 3); you'll receive a complimentary tote if you're among the first 1,000 people.
Perhaps even more exciting is the news that MoMA will be open seven days a week, also starting in May. Exact hours are TBA, but you know we'll keep you in the loop. We're cool like that.
