Photograph: Soretta Rodack “The botanical garden 6BC (622 E 6th St between Aves B and C, 6bc.org) is the most beautiful and peaceful spot in all of NYC. My favorite part is a narrow two-story cottage that almost looks as if it’s on stilts. It’s covered in ivy and next to a pond.”
