“Every month I try to catch at least one Off Broadway show; it’s part of my self-care thing. Right now I’m really addicted to NEWsical the Musical (newsicalthemusical.net). In the most recent version I saw, they talked about Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s baby and Obama’s health-care act.”

My favorite dish is called the South by South West. The food is so good and it’s really not that expensive. You could have dinner for two for under $40 and eat really well.”
“There’s this little hole in the wall called Trufa (3431 Broadway between 139th and 140th Sts, 646-522-4142) with maybe five tables in total. They make their own pasta—the spinach ravioli ($11) is so good. And they have great red and white sangria ($5).”
“I like to try different cuisines, so I love going to this Cuban place, Havana Central (2911 Broadway between 113th and 114th Sts; 212-662-8830, havanacentral.com). On the weekends there’s live salsa music and a good crowd—not too old, not too young.”
