New Yorkers, it’s cold out there! The organization is behind on its annual drive, so donate your coat to someone who needs it.

In case you haven't noticed, it's brutal out there, and the weather feels even colder when you think of the needy New Yorkers without a coat. Every year, New York Cares runs a massive holiday drive to help underprivileged folks out, but this year's effort has yielded disappointing results: Donations are currently down 35 percent from previous years. According to a report on NY1, people are lining up for coats the organization has not received.
That's not okay, so be sure to contribute your new and gently used coats and jackets; men's large and children's sizes are especially needed. Drop them off at one of the sites on this map (including any police precinct or major transportion hub), or buy one and have it shipped to the New York Cares coat-drive warehouse. The campaign ends February 7, 2014, but as you can tell, it's cold now. Don't delay!
