The diner featured in Edward Hopper's most famous painting might not have existed, but that hasn't stopped the Whitney from turning the two-dimensional masterpiece into a 3-D display at the foot of the Flatiron Building. If only they had gone all the way and were offering burgers and milk shakes at 1940s prices.
