Bend and Bloom in Prospect Park

Bend and Bloom, which boasts bamboo floors and wind-generated electricity, is an eco-friendly vinyasa studio located in Park Slope. The green theme continues at these outdoor classes in Prospect Park, where you can gaze at flowers while you go through your workout. Laughing Lotus in 14th Street Park

A rotating cast of teachers guides this downtown session, which is perfectly situated for a postworkout summer stroll along the High Line. During the one-hour open-level class, expect ohming, meditation and vinyasa flow. Yoga mats are only available in limited supply, so bring your own to ward off unsightly grass stains. Open Air Yoga NYC in Battery Park City and Central Park

Instructor Donna Klimkiewicz, who has a background in anusara, organizes weekly alfresco classes in both Battery Park City and in Central Park. At the end of each class, Klimkiewicz offers liquid refreshments—like watermelon-basil juice and iced peppermint tea—to students who wish to linger and make friends. Rooftop Sunset yoga at the JCC in Manhattan

There’s nothing like watching the sunset with a glass of wine after a nice vinyasa workout. That's exactly what you can expect at this rooftop event, led by Seth Lieberman (mats are provided). Yoga in Bryant Park

Midtown haven Bryant Park gets yogi props for its twice-weekly outdoor classes. Choose between Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings (or attend both), throughout the summer. If you go in the morning, you can stick around until 12:30pm for Piano in the Park, a daily outdoor recital held on the Upper Terrace. Yoga in Nature at Wave Hill

Spend some time getting reacquainted with the green stuff (that's grass and tress, in case you've forgotten) at this outdoor yoga class on the bucolic grounds of Wave Hill. Both the morning and evening classes are taught by Neem Dewji, who is certified in both hatha and therapeutic yoga by the Integral Yoga Institute. Yoga in the Park in Socrates Sculpture Park

Experience one of Queens' most serene oases as you stretch in and out of warrior pose and archer pose. Monique Schubert ensures a healthy mix of exertion and relaxation—when you're in corpse pose at the end, you’ll be staring up at the clouds and may want to stick around for a while. Yoga in Riverside Park

This evening class offers great views of the sun setting over the Hudson. Afterward, you can catch a free outdoor screening of films such as Pan's Labyrinth and Big Fish, courtesy of Riverside's Movies Under the Stars (Wed 8:30pm). The Yoga Room in Gantry Plaza State Park

The Yoga Room, which has studios in both Astoria and LIC, offers these monthly classes every third Sunday (except in September, when the class takes place Sunday the 12th). Take in an upside-down view of the Manhattan skyline while you're in downward dog. Yoga Sole in Prospect Park

Evalena Leedy, director of Yoga Sole, teaches this open-air stretchfest every Sunday in the month of July. The objective is to help attendees filter out the distractions of nature and be present in the moment. Leedy also hopes the class will bring together members of the Windsor Terrace community.
