Peggy Preheim, "Archipelago"

Exquisitely precise pencil drawings perfumed by nostalgia (usual small renderings floated against large expanses of blank paper) are this artist’s stock in trade. She uses old photos and vintage commercial illustrations as source materials for images seen through a prism of memory. Her sculptures mixing found items with objects by her own hand follow in a similar vein.
