See the trippy new poster for Mad Men's final season

The promotional poster, which evokes the psychedelic mood of the late ’60s, was created for the show by legendary graphic designer Milton Glaser

Time to start counting down: Mad Men's final season premieres April 13, and as usual, the public knows very little about what will happen to Don Draper & Co. But here's something cool: in a completely apropos move, AMC worked with legendary designer Milton Glaser (best known for the iconic "I ♥ NY" logo) to create the posters for the new season. Check out the design below.

The New York Times got the scoop on the partnership from showrunner Matthew Weiner, who told the paper, "I was in love with the idea that we could, in a way, rope him into the narrative of the show." Glaser's work combines Mad Men's familiar opening-credits image–Don Draper, seen from behind, sitting down, cigarette in hand—with a swirling color palette that's appropriately trippy, considering this season's late-’60s setting.

In other Mad Men news, a teaser trailer for the new season was released yesterday, and pretty much all we can glean from it is that Don takes a trip. Maybe. Oh, hell, speculation is impossible at this point. Check it out below; and if you need to catch up, season six of the show is now on Netflix.
