Sweatshop Social

To reduce the footprint of your summer shopping sprees, check out tonight’s free Sweatshop Social at 3rd Ward, a monthly workshop hosted by Bags for the People, a nonprofit that fashions reusable shopping bags from recycled clothing and other fabric. On the last Monday of every month, BFP will teach you how to make a bag out of a dress, hat, belt or anything else you have lying around. Bring the material, and they'll provide sewing machines, live music, beer and food.
