    E 105th St

Two-bedroom in East Harlem, $2,000/month ($1,000 per person)

Paying $1,000 a month for an apartment usually gets you steps from a parking lot, a gas station or a an open-air fish market. It definitely doesn’t usually get you steps from Central Park. But that’s just where you’ll be in this light and airy two-bedroom within walking distance of Museum Mile. Which means you’ll be able to easily burn off all those extra meals you whip up in that renovated kitchen with a quick afternoon jog around the Jackie O reservoir.

    Broome St #2A

Two-bedroom in the Lower East Side, $2,400/month ($1,200 per person)

Most affordable apartments on the Lower East Side have layouts similar to a deformed Tetrispiece. This spacious two-bedroom, on the other hand, has a nice open living area that you may actually be able to fit furniture in. On top of that, you’ll get a dishwasher and a lovely view out your window of another building’s wall. Another building’s wall that’s far enough way to let in a lovely amount of light!

    2nd Ave & East 75th St

Two-bedroom in the Upper East Side, $2,200/month ($1,100 per person)

This true Upper East Side apartment has great bones that would handsomely compliment some well-made furniture and accessories. (Seriously, the color of those hardwood floors is to die for.) It also boasts an abnormally large amount of closet space. So basically, it would be the ideal apartment for a vintage chair enthusiast with a lot of secrets.

    441 Classon Ave #1A

    Three-bedroom in Bed-Stuy, $2,950/month ($983 per person)

Picture yourself turning up the latest Florence + The Machine album, lighting 10-20 candles, cracking open a bottle of red wine and then spending a lovely night dancing in front of this gothic, marble fireplace. That dream could be your reality at this Bedford-Stuyvesant stunner with also features marble floors, exposed brick walls and a private backyard full of trees. What more could you want in an apartment? Two full bathrooms, you say? Done.

    173 Park Ave

Three-bedroom in Fort Greene, $2,495/month ($832 per person)

This apartment is incredible cheap on a per person basis for this neighborhood, and only one of two apartments in the entire building. If you’re a biker, you’re just blocks away from the Navy Yard and Fort Greene Park. If you’re not a biker, you’ve got a large living room with high ceilings. Win win. And hey, even though the windows are awkwardly placed, it’s still nice to know they’re there.
