The Cronut Concrete is officially upon us

And you thought the cronut saga was even close to ending. Shake Shack and Dominique Ansel combine forces for the limited-edition treat.

You would think that after a whole summer's worth of cronut madness, New Yorkers (and—let's face it—the tourists who've gotten wind of the pastry) would be tired of the popular sweet. And you would be totally incorrect! There are still cronut lines every day, and now, Dominique Ansel has announced a partnership with Shake Shack. The endgame: a Cronut Concrete.

The limited-edition treat will combine butter-caramel frozen custard with cinnamon-sugar cronut holes—yes, cronut holes are a thing—and will cost $4.50. It'll be available for one day only, on September 17, and proceeds will benefit the NYPD and the Madison Square Park Conservancy. There is, of course, a catch—only 1,000 will be available, so you should probably set up camp in Madison Square Park starting…oh, about now.
