Time Out says

Lady Liberty—or Liberty Enlightening the World, as she’s officially known—was a gift from France on America’s 100th birthday. A universal symbol of freedom, the copper-plated sentinel stands 305 feet tall from the bottom of her base to the tip of her torch. The monument underwent renovations in 2011 (including new stairs and an elevator), reopening in July 2013 after an extended Hurricane Sandy–related closure. Reservations are required for a tour of the statue’s interior and to ascend its iconic, seven-pointed crown. Ferry tickets $17, seniors $14, children 4–12 $9, children under 4 free. Purchase tickets by phone at 877-LADY-TIX or online at statuecruises.com. Crown access additional $3.
