Watch Andrew W.K. play drums for 24 hours beginning Wednesday

That sounds about right.

We've come to expect wacky things from Andrew W.K.—he's participated in one of David Blaine's magic performances, he very nearly became the international ambassador for partying, etc.—but his latest stunt is a whole other brand of crazy.

For the upcoming O Music Awards—a Viacom-sponsored event that hands out prizes for artists who combine music and tech in interesting ways—His Partyness will play the drums for 24 hours straight; if he can complete the task, he'll claim the world record for Longest Drum Session in a Retail Store. The marathon will happen at the Oakley store in Times Square, and begins at 7pm on Wednesday; there may even be special guests (such as the Roots' Questlove).

You can check out Andrew W.K.'s feat in person, or watch a live stream on the O Awards website. Tweet words of encouragement and your own party aphorisms to @AndrewWK, but we're pretty sure that if anyone can accomplish this, it's the dude who wrote "Party Til You Puke." (h/t Gothamist)
