Watch Arcade Fire perform new material in Brooklyn (video)

The Canadian indie-rockers upstaged CMJ with two “surprise” shows, and here’s a sample of the new material they introduced.

By now you may have heard of this new band called the Reflektors; based on all the buzz they created at CMJ, we think they're going to do okay. All jokes aside, it seems the lucky ticket-holders to Arcade Fire's last-minute, costume-mandatory Friday and Saturday shows at Brooklyn warehouse-venue 299 Meserole Street dug the new material from the indie-rock royalty's forthcoming album, Reflektor (out October 29). Here's "Flashbulb Eyes," and you can see the band perform tonight on The Colbert Report.
