I <3 ISRAEL! As a liberal gay non jewish/non religious woman I felt so at home there on my first trip in April....what a beautiful country! For all the haters....I experienced Muslims, Jews and Christians all living, working and playing side by side (you'd NEVER see that in an Arab country). I actually saw MORE mosques than temples. My conversations with Palestinians WERE ALL THE SAME....the hatred towards Israel is all Arab propaganda....that they are treated FAR better by Israel than their own government...that they totally understand that if Israel didn't defend herself when missiles were launched on them or when terrorists strike that they would cease to exist. That HAMAS wants Israel GONE not a 2 state solution....That the wall is necessary to keep Israeli citizens safe (terrorist attacks went from many thousands to100 per year). It's pathetic and sad to see all these arm chair politicos spew their misinformation on this civilly just, beautiful country. BTW....they also said that BDS (the disgusting boycott group) HURTS Palestinians because they need Israeli goods (which btw Israel gives them tons of goods per day) and it hurts them because Israel employs them. Arabs/Palestinians say they love Israel because they are a part of their culture, attend their Universities and go to their hospitals, are a part of their judicial system, ara part of their government (doesn't sound like APARTHEID to me) and despise HAMAS for launching missiles FROM schools/hospitals/residential areas purposefully putting their own people in harms way so that when Israel retaliates all you see are stories about civilians being killed making Israel look like the bad guy....which is exactly what the propaganda machine wants.
