You Can't Take It With You says
The timeless comedy "You Can't Take It With You" kicks off Season 19 with a story of young love within a delightfully eccentric family.

Home of America’s original eccentric family, the Sycamore household is full of wild and wacky fun in 1930s New York City. Headed up by the wily patriarch Grandpa Vanderhof, this slightly batty clan of snake collectors, ballet dancers, and skyrocket manufacturers is getting ready for the biggest night of the year. Young Alice Sycamore has invited her newfound love Tony Kirby and his parents over for dinner. But when the straight-laced Kirby’s show up on the wrong night, the real fireworks start to fly. Winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, "You Can’t Take It With You" is a raucous, madcap comedy that has stood the test of time.
