Time Out says

A simple yet powerful flamenco double bill from the Compañía Antonio Gades.

For a burst of spectacular Seville energy to warm you up as winter sets in, the Compañía Antonio Gades are putting on ‘Carmen’ from the 2-13 December 2015 at the Casino de Paris. Three years after filling the Palais des Congrès – in front of over twenty thousand spectators – this flamenco take on Bizet’s opera is back for a limited run of twelve performances, promising rigorous, passionate choreography and masterful tragic acting throughout.

Over three hours (intervals included), the late Gades’s company honour the Spaniard’s legacy with an exhilarating flamenco show that displays all the elegance and beauty that so characterised his style. The troupe will be directed by Stella Arauzo – who has previously played ‘Carmen’ for Gades – and will also perform the choreographer’s classic ‘Suite Flamenca’ as a follow-up. The latter is a lively, vibrant yet sparsely arranged journey through the world of the traditional Spanish tavern.
