Contemporary art fair ‘Drawing Now’ is back for its 9th edition at the Carreau du Temple, with 73 French and international galleries exhibiting the very best pencil work they have to offer. Entry tickets are pricey at €16, but some very special artists will be on display: make sure to catch Roland Topor’s surreal drawings (Galerie Anne Barrault), Phillippe Mayaux’s biting satires (Galerie Loevenbruck) and Marlène Mocquet’s strange splatterings that mix a comic strip style with bright paints (Galerie Laurent Godin). Contemporary drawing is often underestimated by art institutions and the general public, but this fair reasserts its place in the art world. This year, one display is devoted to satirical drawing, paying tribute to thevictims of the 'Charlie Hebdo'shootings in January 2015.
