There’s nothing more tragic that the destiny of Oedipus, condemned to kill his father and marry his mother without knowing. The legend has been interpreted by Jan Decorte and choreographed by Wim Vandekeybus into a physical re-reading of the text, played out on a dimly-lit stage set by a troupe of dancers dressed in rags. Expect violent acrobatics and powerful leaps – the physical language is pure poetry.
