Thank You Jay Dee ! Spécial 10 ans

Promoters ‘Free Your Funk’ once again pay homage to the late, great J Dilla, who made his name with productions for the likes of the Pharcyde, Talib Kweli, De La Soul and Common. Set up in 2009 – three years after the influential beatmaker’s untimely death – these ‘Thank You Jay Dee’ nights have been filling the Bellevilloise with the very best in Dilla-inspired beats ever since. This Saturday’s event is the last ever edition and it marks roughly a decade since the Detroit, Michigan legend died. On the lineup, there’s a live set from former Slum Village rapper Elzhi, a special Dilla mix from quartet The Hop, and a grand finale from resident DJ Fab.
