Cutting a contemporary dash on Avenue de la Porte des Poissonniers in the 18th is newcomer La Palme. This welcoming halal lounge restaurant is all pink-purple lighting and moody black furniture. The top spot tends to be the long sofa beneath La Palme’s swish wall logo, part privatised by a semi-transparent curtain and not short on cushions. The colour-coordinated menu offers an interesting international mix of snacks and bigger dishes, from salad Nicoise and chicken pastilla to four-cheese ravioli and chicken curry. A lit bit of everything you fancy, basically.
Can’t choose? Opt for La Palme’s tasting menu – pretty good value at 20€ for two courses.
