29 The Gallery

Back the early fifties, 29 China Street was renovated and rebuilt, changing its use from an urban swiftlet farm into the studio and gallery of Rebecca Duckett-Wilkinson. She is an artist, whose inspiration comes from nature, specifically her trips into the jungle and islands of Malaysia and Eastern Indonesia. Her paintings are full of colour and brimming with patterns and texture. Above the studio-gallery are two studio apartments that are part of China Tiger, a boutique heritage homestay in the heart of George Town. Be sure to give a call when you're planning on a visit as the gallery only open for appointments.
