'A Road to Mecca' centers on the spiritual and political journey of a Viennese Jew named Leopold Weiss who left his Jewish roots to become a Muslim upon his travels to Middle East in the early 1920s. Today - with his new name, Muhammad Asad - he transformed into one of the most notable Muslims of the 20th century for serving as an advisor at the Saudi Arabia's royal court as well as translating the Koran into English. This film will be screened in German with English subtitles.
