With various kitchen and bar takeovers, new dining partners and even more food and alcohol, pop-up event Swallow @ The Saw Emporium is showing no signs of slowing down. The self-proclaimed ‘multi-concept culinary lifestyle event’ opened in November 2017 at The Saw Emporium – once a former sawmill – to much fanfare with notable restaurants and bars like Teppei Syokudo (one of Singapore’s best Japanese restaurants), Qwenchers, Embers BBQ Grill, Norm, Noct and more.
This coming weekend will see a takeover by Taps Beer Bar – winner of Best Beer Bar in the Bar Awards Kuala Lumpur 2017 – with the biggest craft beer party in Penang (Jan 19-21); the launch of the one-night only Cocktail Bar January edition with a Swallow x DaVinci gourmet cocktail bar (Jan 18); and live music by Wedding in Charlie with Charlie’s Friday @ 9 on Friday (Jan 19). There will also be new menus by Teppei Syokudo, Embers BBQ Grill and Wham by The After Meal, alongside a new Thai food option with Soi 55 handing over the kitchen to WhatSaeb แซ่บ Boat Noodles.
