An Evening With Max Kay says
Max ran the Civic Theatre firstly in Inglewood under the Civic Clock in rented premises and then built and ran his own Civic Theatre in Highgate for a period of 25 years. It became a Western Australian icon and played to nearly 1.75 million theatre-goers over that time.
He left the Civic to go into politics and served nearly 5 years on the Perth City Council. He has been President of the National Trust WA for over 5 years, is a Board Member of the Perth Theatre Trust and has been awarded many medals for his service to the community and charity. His first love is Entertainment!
He returns to the stage at “The Astor Theatre” just a few hundred metres from his beginnings, after a period of 15 years, with his one man show - “AN EVENING WITH MAX KAY”.
He played two nights at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre which were complete sell outs with this wonderfully entertaining show. Full of nostalgia, hilarious comedy, songs you’ll love and great singalongs.
