Meet the illustrator of the picture book A Sausage Went for a Walk in this fun interactive drawing event. Enjoy storytelling, marvel at live illustration demonstrations, and create your own picture book character. Bring a pencil, A4 piece of paper, something to lean on, and get ready to express your own creative talents. This event is suitable for children and families and concludes with a book signing opportunity. Copies of the picture book A Sausage Went for a Walk are available from the Discovery Store at the State Library. Free event. Bookings required.

About Peter Kendall

Twice a finalist in the Archibald Prize, most recently with his portrait of boxing champion Danny Green, Peter Kendall works across a range of form and style, from experimental abstraction to the highly finished realism. He has published eleven children’s books, and was awarded the Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards for Rosa’s Famous Elbow (written by Mike Lefroy with illustrations by Peter Kendall). Peter Loves to laugh and have fun and enjoys sharing his knowledge and inspiration with others.
