Cord Art Auction + Live Music Fundraiser 'Take A Seat' says
After raising over $25,000 for spinal cord injury (SCI), the art auction with a difference, Cord Fundraiser, has announced a must-attend event for both lovers of art and those who love to make a difference; Cord: Take A Seat. After a sold-out event last year, Cord will take at the lofty warehouse space at Perth City Farm (1 City Farm Place, East Perth) 6pm-late Saturday 28 May, showcasing over 25 local artists. Having generously donated their work for the public to bid on in the urban art auction of the year, all funds raised will go to Fiona Stanley Hospital’s Spinal Cord Injury Unit.

Auctioned works will be on 1x1-metre canvasses, with work up for grabs by a mix of talented established and exciting up’n’coming artists, including the likes of Nixon | illustration + design, Robert Jenkins Art, peche, Brenton See, Anna McEachran, KIM KIM KIM, and Monday. The event will also feature food trucks, 18+ beverages from the likes of Gage Roads Brewing Co, Arlewood Wines and Batlow Cider, installation pieces provided by Empire Homewares, plus many more artists such as Pippa McManus Illustration and Andy Quilty have donated pieces to a silent auction to additionally run on the night.

A night overflowing with creativity and inspiration, Take A Seat will be soundtracked by a stellar music line-up too. Taking a seat and staying still will be hard, with good time movements being encouraged by Hip Hop Karayoke resident DJ and The Community’s Arms In Motion R’n’B, soul and hip hop powerhouse Cian Caton performing with her live band, regulars at Laneway Lounge and The Ellington; plus Ambar Nightclub Japan 4 resident and general aural feel goods provider DJ Ollie.
Yet there’s a serious side effect to all this sensory stimulation, with 100% of funds raised going towards Fiona Stanley Hospital's Spinal Cord Injury Unit, supporting those who acutely encounter SCI in WA by assisting their purchasing of new technology and rehab equipment.

This will be a sell-out event! Secure your tickets early to join in on this once a year event.
